Profile

Valerie Campbell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Drama teaching in the area of Performance with a specialization in Movement. She brings an eclectic experience from working for over two decades in the fields of theatre, movement and somatics. Valerie draws from these diverse modalities to create a unique and dynamic synthesis of movement work designed specifically for actors. Currently her creative research involves the application of Authentic Movement to performance creation.

Department Activities

Valerie serves as the Artistic Director of the Mainstage season and curates the annual  Taking Flight Festival. As part of her creative research, she had directed for the season and regularly provides movement coaching for department productions.
